BURNED OUT! An Ex-Convict Is Arrested by Osun NDLEA for Hard Drug Possession

In Osun State, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 65-year-old former felon for drug possession.

In a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo, the NDLEA Osun State Command spokesperson, Odigie Charles, said that the guy, identified as Dauda Lamide, was apprehended on Saturday, March 23, 2024, while on patrol in Iwo.

Lamide was discovered in possession of two engine oil gallons filled with dried marijuana that seemed to be Cannabis Sativa.

The announcement also revealed that Lamide had been convicted of the same crime in 2019 and given a three-year prison sentence.

“On Saturday, March 23, 2024, while on a motorized patrol in Iwo, the Command operatives intercepted one Dauda Lamidi, 65 years old, with two engine oil gallons weighing 1.550 kg that contained dried weeds suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.”

“Dauda, an ex-convict, was found guilty in 2019 of the same offense and sentenced to three years in prison.”
